All artwork is created from gourds grown on
White Oak Farm using a wide variety of techniques and media. Designs
are wood burned into the gourds which are then colored with leather paints, dyes,
India ink, Gilders paste, Jacquard Pinata Inks, Lumiere
and Neopaque paints
among others. Feathers, horse hair, glass,
yarns and other natural
materials are used to enhance the
effect and finish the artwork.
All this is done in Ann's shop here on beautiful
Edisto Island, SC.
